Elizabeth Lana, Contemplate

Elizabeth Lana is a Pittsburgh based painter who has had several solo exhibitions at the Christine Frechard Gallery. She holds a dual degree in fine arts and arts education from the University of San Francisco, and the Academy of Art; San Francisco. In 2020 Lana was awarded the Denis Diderot Grant to server as an artist in residence at Chateau d'Orquevaux in Orquevaux, France. Lana currently paints in her studio in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh.

Contemplate is a large, beautiful geometric work. It showcases a bold abstract form intersecting with horizontal drips on a textural beige ground. It comes in a thin wood frame that acts as siding for the canvas.
