Endre Aalrust is a Norwegian artist and filmmaker based in Berlin whose work navigates the tensions between intimacy, power, and cultural performance. Drawing on the visual language of internet culture, kitsch, and art history, he creates paintings and films that blur the lines between sincerity and irony, sentiment and critique. His practice often exposes the absurdities of social roles and relationships, inviting viewers to sit with discomfort as well as humor. Aalrust’s work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in public and private collections across Europe and Asia.
