Brooks Burns creates hard edge abstract paintings that juxtapose Minimalism and Maximalism - many of the geometric shapes that he paints reference Minimalism, but his palette makes his work look just as “at home” in a Maximalist setting. He loves making both figurative and abstract work; both styles nod to the past and speak to the future in a way that is all their own.
