Martha Hayden is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She studied in Austria with the Expressionist painter, Oskar Kokoschka.
Ms. Hayden divides her time between New York City and Sharon, Wisconsin. She is included in many public collections, including those of the Museo do Arte Moderno, Sao Paulo, Brazil, California College of Arts and Crafts, the Brooklyn Museum, The British Museum Library, and The Yale University Library. She has shown at the Art Institute of Chicago, Milwaukee Museum of Art, Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio, El Paso (TX) Museum and many others. Her work has been in over 450 regional and national exhibitions.
